Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting post-9/11 wounded, ill, and injured veterans, active-duty service members, and their families. WWP focuses on the whole well-being of veterans, providing programs and services at no cost to eligible warriors and their families. WWP provides support in several key areas, including: * Mental health: Resources, counseling programs, peer support, and specialized treatment for conditions such as PTSD and other service-related mental health challenges. * Physical wellness: Fitness programs, adaptive activities, wellness coaching, and resources addressing issues such as pain, sleep, nutrition, and mobility. * Financial and career support: Financial counseling, assistance navigating VA benefits, career transition services, resume preparation, interview preparation, and employment resources. * Peer and community support: Events, support groups, and opportunities for veterans and their families to connect with others who understand their experiences. * Long-term support: Specialized programs for severely injured veterans and their caregivers that help promote independence and improve quality of life. * Advocacy: WWP works with policymakers and other organizations to improve programs, benefits, and resources available to veterans.
